Hi Jeff,

Sounds like a nice service. Looks like you use openlayers, popular
here as well.   We also have a WMS tile service for the CA imagery.
If you want to build a tile service in a different projection, however
you're probably better off waiting for the imagery if you're getting
it anyways.

Besides ftp and http there is also an rsync interface, which won't be
any faster really, but easier for you to setup and maintain.  You can
go to rsync://archive.casil.ucdavis.edu to access that.  That's how we
maintain some additional mirrors.

No there's no licensing issue, but please acknowledge the CERES
project where appropriate.
